1. Make sure the part you are trying to scribe is free from dust.
2. Use and apply scribing tape or scribing templates to guide your blade. This minimalizes unnecessary scratches.
3. Hold your blade at an angle between 30 and 40 degrees.
4. Slowly pull the blade across the tape without putting pressure on the blade. A good scribing blade does not need any pressure and will cut through the plastic with ease.
5. Sand away any imperfections and dust away any sanding debris.
